Acclimatization Day at Kyanjin Gompa

Rest and acclimatize at Kyanjin Gompa. Hike up Kyanjin Ri (4,773m) for a stunning 360° panorama of Langtang Lirung (7,227m), Langtang II, Dorje Lakpa, and the broad Langtang Glacier. The yak cheese dairy here is worth a visit. Return to Kyanjin for the night.

Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel

Begin the return journey, descending back through Langtang Village and the beautiful rhododendron and bamboo forests. The trail feels easier on the way down and the lower altitude brings renewed energy. Lama Hotel sits beside a tumbling mountain stream.

Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi

Complete the valley descent back to the road-head at Syabrubesi. Cross the roaring Langtang Khola and pass through scattered villages as the forest thickens and the air warms. Afternoon free in Syabrubesi.

Drive Syabrubesi to Kathmandu

Bumpy but scenic 7–8 hour drive back to Kathmandu through forested hills, river valleys, and mountain towns. Arrive in Kathmandu by late afternoon. Hotel check-in and rest.

Kathmandu — Rest and Sightseeing

Free day in Kathmandu. Optional visits to Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, or Thamel. Yeti Routes farewell dinner with your guide in the evening.
